The Conflict and Governance Facility hosted a final “highlevel” workshop on 13-14 November 2007, Sheraton Hotel, Pretoria. This workshop engaged researchers, policy makers and civil society actors and shared the knowledge generated by through CAGE funding.
This event was marked as a successful by stakeholders and CAGE is proud to share the report with you. The CAGE publication: Conflict and Governance in South Africa – Towards a more just and peacefull society, was also launched. You can download a copy of the main sections of the book.
We thank Dr. Ivor Sarakinsky – Academic Co-ordinator, Advantage Training – Event management company, all our Presenters and Chairpersons dedicated to the programme for the workshop, and all representatives from our CAGE community, partnership organizations and every delegate present.
This final event allowed the Facility to “show off” the excellent range of researchers and their institutions that shaped us and kept the staff passionate about the sector. Prof Roger Southall - Editor and Ms Nova De Villiers - Technical Editor added great value to the calibre of the CAGE publication, and allowed us to capture the passion with which the papers and inputs were prepared by all contributors.
CAGE thanks you…

Cage/AW3/Call for Proposals 3/2006
CALL FOR PROPOSALS III
CAGE has concluded its third and final Call for Proposals and you can view the list of successful applicants– grantees for 2006-2007
We wish to thank all the research organizations who applied under this call. Should you have not been successful in receiving a grant under this process, we would have communicated this outcome formally with you.
The successful 17 grantees have started implementation of their project activities on 2nd April 2007. They have four months to complete all implementation activities on or before 31st July 2007.
This ability to work within tight and defined time frames was a critical level of assessment for CAGE’s CFP3 Evaluation Committee. Applicants had to express their ability to launch and implement a project with available resources,
tied to critical outcomes and to deliver a final research output by the 31st July 2007, which is CAGE’s final date for active implementation.
CAGE will continue to inform its visitors and the sector on research outcomes, events and be a true resource. Please visit our Outputs and Networking with Partners links for more detail.
